Location

Bangalore. A real a mixture of old and new, Bangalore has ancient buildings and parks while also being described as India’s answer to Silicon Valley. It’s nothing unusual to see Bollywood stars visiting Bangalore to indulge in the vibrant nightlife and the progressive music scene. Bangalore citizens also have a laidback attitude and are likely to invite you to their homes within minutes of meeting you. Being 1,000m above sea level, the climate is cooler and makes it a comfortable place to be year-round.

Pune has been called Maharashtra state’s culture capital. This University City and home of Marathi theatre is one of India’s greenest, with 40% of its area under green cover. It lies on the banks of the Mutha River (right) and is within weekend commuting distance of Mumbai (190km). Pune is a cosmopolitan city with a young, lively evening café culture and one of the fastest growing IT centres in India. Conversely, it’s one of India’s oldest settled sites at around 100,000 years old, with an 8th century cave temple at its heart.
